The Gaming Merchant: EDIT: I want to say sorry for missing out a BIG thing in this video - the challenge complexity - I've read a lot of your comments and you're all right, I feel like they could do with making the daily challenges easier, and lean away from legend/weapon challenges, everything else I mentioned too :) (like bringing back recurring weeklies) So there's been a lot of discussion in the comments, and I'd say this is the overall response from the community: - They feel unrewarded being forced to play legends and weapons they don't like - Challenges feel harder than before Thanks for giving your feedback, overall that's how we make a difference so hopefully somebody at Respawn will see this :) I think Respawn wanted to boost player engagement, but ultimately it has seemed to fail. Perhaps they could add more enjoyable challenges that don't force players into a specific playstyle. Like visit certain areas of the map, or something like that. I still stand by the points I've made - the star system is good because it's just less cluttered and means you can climb levels at the same pace all the way throughout the week, but hopefully they can make changes to the challenges

ahmed bdhief: everytime you say stop scamming us they or sponsored youtubers say let's look at the math or the stats this is what happened Respawn launched a lousy unfair bp system so when players outrages they release the real bp system which is a strategy so when they sell you garbage you eat it with joy

Hyoga Kitsune: Last season I was earning levels everday by just playing matches this season I have only reached season rank 4 because I don't focus on doing challenges when instead I could just play the game my way...the fact that this new system is forcing challenges down my throat isn't cool...I don't want to be pigeon holed into certain styles of play to earn a battle pass level of which the battlepass isn't all that great this season.

G Adrian: I gave up on season 7 battle pass and this is why(for me):Is not fun or healthy.Fist time I did the battle pass was fun, new thing and maybe I had more time then. Now, season 5 and 6 it was griding, after work stressed that I will not reach lvl 110, tired and no so happy I was farming some xp and doing challenges, but it was not enough and I started to feel bad playing the game. Beacuse we have every 12 weeks to lvl up and beat battle pass, happening 4 times per year, plus the special events, you are spending a lot of time playing this game. A game should not pressure you play it, is not healthy and this business model is bad. To get me to do battle pass again some things have to chage, make the battle pass take ~12 hours to complete, if the development of the game needs more money make it cost real money.I know that developing a game with so much content cost money, I really appreciate the work and quality put in this game, but the pressure to play must stop, need more money, make every skin or charm cost real money. From now on I will just play the game, no challenges, no battle pass, if I want a skin I will buy it, if it is exclusive to BP I will pass.

edg810: You left out the fact that challenges are absurd now. Play 20 games with Loba, deal 10,000 damage with Crypto or scan 50 enemies with Bloodhound for a BP level, why? I don't like using those legends. Why do they have to "encourage" (force) me to play how I DON'T WANT to play. What about this: wining one ranked match used to give a WHOLE +1 BP level in the previous system, now you have to win 5 ranked matches for 5 miserable stars. Respawn knew exactly what they were doing. By creating an absurd system they anger the community only to later have players settle for a "not as bad" system, but still worse than the previous one. They are a company and they want as much of your time and your money as they can get. Also let's not forget, the battle pass is absolute GARBAGE - as they have been for a few seasons now. Sure the R99 skin is ok, but there are better options. Unless you're an Octane main you don't care about the the legendary legend skins. Does anyone actually care or even use holo-sprays? So I'm grinding or buying battle pass levels for what? To get my money back in apex coins? The crafting metals are the ONLY good thing in there. I bought the BP every season until now. Also used to spend my 1,000 apex coins afterwards in packs just to support apex, but I smell the EA greed all over this change, and I'm simply over it. Don't defend them cause they invited you to early play testing, don't let them use you. You're 1,000% better than that.

Simón Herize: I’m a player who grinds Apex and I did some math so if you level up 2 tiers a day consistently then you would be able to complete the battle pass but it’s is still incredibly grindy and I know many can’t grind apex like I do so the system is horrible and needs fix

Fairy Nya: the main problem for me in the new battle pass is that rampart doesn’t have a frame, also, lifeline doesn’t have a frame. if they add the frame for rampart at least, i would buy the battle pass

NobL VaPoR: keep in mind this is oif the only game you play is apex. Every season before this i was able to finish the bp and play other games. I don't wana feel like i have to only play apex just to finish the battle pass when in reality thats not what i do. Im a casual and i play other games so in my mind this is complete ripoff.

If i allocate an hour iish to gaming a day including lobby downtimes 75 minutes for one daily challenge is just absurd lol

Caleb Carrion: after about a week of play, im definitely hate this new system. its way too slow. i play pretty casually and normallt still get 6-10 bp a week. you know how many ive gotten in S7? 0 freaking 0 not a single one because i still need 3 stars for my first lvl. unbelievable

Nick Knarr: They shouldn’t have changed the battle pass system. Instead to keep people engaged they should of made the challenges more interesting. A few examples like find a MRVN on the map and knock it out. Find hidden key pads that read dialogue or open a secret room.

I helped him get some skins and characters that he otherwise wouldn't, but he leveled up the battle pass I bought him pretty much on his own, at age 4!!...the apex battle pass should not be harder for an adult to complete when a 4 y/o can complete your companions battle pass spending most of their time destroying buildings, driving around, and emoting

Homerocrate s: The actual battle pass is very similar to the level up of titanfall 2 but in titanfall 2 you get one merit (star) when you level up your titan, weapons and by playing good, being in score top 3 of a match and by completing a match you get 1 per each one there are some other things but I will not mention them because this will be much longer

Louis Green: To get a tier a day you have to get 2 of the 5000xp things and complete all of your daily challenges. This would get you to tier 87. And if you were to complete all of the weekly challenges, you would be well over tier 110. Albeit this may take a lot of play time but I've been doing this for 4 days and I'm tier 9 so it clearly works

Nick Stanbridge: I was hyped for season 7, but in my opinion this is the most painful and least fun season they've ever had for casual players. The map is far too open, the built up areas are great but the huge expanses of open terrain between them means that you get picked off from miles away by a three stack of Predators with G7s. SBMM insists on putting at least one squad of Preds in every game. Since the season started I have played 22 games. I'm level 3 on the battle pass. I'm pretty sure this will be the last season I bother playing this game, I've totally fallen out of love with it.

Thats the data they either miss or ignore! Promo Minion: From my perspective (a casual player) i get an avg of 3 hours a day online. I’d say 2 1/2 hours is on apex and the other 1/2 an hour spent on other games. From your math i wouldn’t even be close to getting to tier 100 and yet I manage it every season without having to specifically focus on challenges. This season I do agree I may struggle without the extra level from daily challenges but I’m sure I’ll still be able to manage even as a casual player.

To get 3/10 stars, before you had to respawns 5teammates to get 1 BP level, now you have to revive 20 to get half a level... I'm not gonna finish a lot of daily and a lot of weekly... There's a lot of days I only play for like 30min... Last season I didn't play much and I arrived at level 110 on the last day of the season... Grinding the last 20levels in the last days thanks to the double XP...
